Response times
We reply within 2 business days. If you’re reporting a crash, please include roughly what screen you were on and what you tapped just before it happened.
Data requests
If you’re requesting an export or deletion of data stored on your device, email us with “Data request” in the subject line and we’ll confirm the steps available in-app.

NINETY-ONE is built to work without requiring an account. Your writing is primarily stored on your device. This policy explains what data may be collected and why.
What you create in the app
- Written entries you type into journals and exercises
- Progress markers (e.g., which chapters/pages you’ve read)
Where your data is stored
- On-device storage: Your writing and progress are stored locally on your device.
- Optional cloud services (if enabled in future releases): If we add optional cloud sync or diagnostics, this policy will be updated and we will describe what is sent and why.
Diagnostics and crash data
If diagnostics are enabled, the app may collect technical information to help us fix reliability issues, such as:
- App version, device model, OS version
- Crash logs and error messages
- Approximate time the crash occurred
This information is used only to improve stability and performance.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use your journal text for advertising.
- We do not allow third parties to use your writing for their own purposes.
Data retention
- On-device data remains until you delete it in-app or uninstall the app.
- If crash diagnostics are stored on our systems, we retain them only as long as needed for reliability work.
